Campeonato Brasileiro Série A

Campeonato Brasileiro Série A is the top tier of football in Brazil and one of the leading competitions in South America. Formally established in 1971, the league has developed into a more settled structure over time, following a period of ongoing reforms in the domestic game. It features twenty clubs competing in a round-robin format, with the title decided on points accumulated across the season.
The origins of the national championship lie in an earlier era when Brazilian football was largely organised at regional level. State leagues formed the core of local rivalries and club development, but the absence of a unified national format limited direct comparison between the strongest sides. Competitions such as Taça Brasil and Torneio Roberto Gomes Pedrosa, introduced in the mid-20th century, laid the groundwork for a single national championship, which later evolved into the modern league.
Since 2003, the competition has operated with a fixed structure of twenty teams and 38 rounds. This format brings greater clarity to the calendar and supports a more even contest over the course of the season, while also allowing clubs to plan with a longer-term view.
Clube do Remo

Clube do Remo is based in Belém, the capital of Pará, where it developed within the sporting life of the Amazon region. It began as a rowing club before football became its main activity.
Today, the club plays at its own Banpará Baenão stadium, while the larger Mangueirão is used for selected fixtures. Its local profile is shaped by its origins in a riverside city, where port activity and daily life along the waterways form part of the setting.
Alongside football, the club also runs sports such as swimming, basketball and futsal. These sections sit within the same structure, extending its activity beyond the first team.
Club Athletico Paranaense

Club Athletico Paranaense is a football club based in Curitiba, the capital of the state of Paraná, with origins linked to the development of the local game in the early 20th century. Founded on 26 March 1924, it emerged from the merger of International Football Club and América Futebol Clube, two teams already active in the city.
The club is often referred to as CAP, with nicknames such as Furacão and Rubro-Negro. These relate to its playing style and its red-and-black colour scheme, which remains central to its visual profile. Over time, both the kit and crest have been updated, including a redesign in 2018 featuring diagonal lines inspired by the idea of a hurricane.
Home matches are played at Arena da Baixada, a venue with a long history that has undergone several phases of modernisation. Its features include a retractable roof and the use of an artificial surface approved by FIFA. The stadium also hosts other sporting and cultural events, reflecting its role within the city of Curitiba.
