Campeonato Brasileiro Série A

Football in Brazil is closely tied to everyday life, and Campeonato Brasileiro Série A represents the highest level of the domestic game. It is where the sport’s history meets a modern professional setup, bringing together clubs from across the country in a single national competition.
The origins of the modern structure date back to 1971, when a national championship was introduced to unite teams from different regions. Before that, the game was shaped largely by state competitions, which built local rivalries but did not provide a nationwide platform. The new format marked the start of a more unified system.
Over time, the league moved through several organisational models before settling into the current structure with 20 teams. A round-robin format creates equal conditions and keeps the season competitive throughout. This balance between organisation and on-pitch competition has helped establish Série A as a leading league in South America.
Club Athletico Paranaense

Club Athletico Paranaense is a football club from Curitiba whose profile has been shaped by both its origins and its continued development. Founded in 1924 following the merger of International Football Club and América Futebol Clube, it emerged as a single structure bringing together local football resources within one organisation.
One of its distinguishing features is the use of the spelling “Athletico”, officially reinstated in 2019. The club is also known as CAP and by nicknames such as Furacão, Rubro-Negro and El Paranaense. These relate to its symbolism and its red-and-black colour scheme, which has remained consistent despite changes in kit design over time. In 2018, a new crest was introduced, featuring diagonal lines inspired by a hurricane motif.
Arena da Baixada, also known as Estádio Joaquim Américo Guimarães, is a venue with a long history dating back to 1914 and has undergone several stages of redevelopment. Its key features include a retractable roof and an artificial surface approved by FIFA. In this way, the club combines historical foundations with more modern elements in its overall profile.
Mirassol Futebol Clube

Mirassol Futebol Clube traces its origins to 1925, when a local football initiative in Mirassol developed into an organised team that later moved into professional competition. Over time, the club went through key changes, including a merger with Grêmio Recreação, Esporte e Cultura and a period under a different name until 1981, when the original name was restored.
Mirassol is located in the interior of São Paulo state, in a region characterised by smaller cities and a strong local sporting culture. The club’s colours are green and yellow.
Its infrastructure includes the Estádio Municipal José Maria de Campos Maia, opened in 1983, and a training centre completed in 2019. These facilities are used by the senior side and support the development of younger players.
