Campeonato Brasileiro Série A

Campeonato Brasileiro Série A is the top tier of football in Brazil and one of the leading competitions in South America. Formally established in 1971, the league has developed into a more settled structure over time, following a period of ongoing reforms in the domestic game. It features twenty clubs competing in a round-robin format, with the title decided on points accumulated across the season.
The origins of the national championship lie in an earlier era when Brazilian football was largely organised at regional level. State leagues formed the core of local rivalries and club development, but the absence of a unified national format limited direct comparison between the strongest sides. Competitions such as Taça Brasil and Torneio Roberto Gomes Pedrosa, introduced in the mid-20th century, laid the groundwork for a single national championship, which later evolved into the modern league.
Since 2003, the competition has operated with a fixed structure of twenty teams and 38 rounds. This format brings greater clarity to the calendar and supports a more even contest over the course of the season, while also allowing clubs to plan with a longer-term view.
Clube do Remo

Clube do Remo is a football club based in Belém, in the state of Pará, with a profile closely linked to the Amazon region. Originally founded as a rowing club, it later developed into a football organisation and became part of the local sporting scene.
The club’s look is defined by the colour blue, while the nickname “Leão Azul” combines the image of a lion with its colours. Alongside football, Remo is also active in sports such as swimming, basketball, volleyball and futsal, although football remains its main focus.
Its infrastructure includes the Banpará Baenão stadium as its primary ground, as well as the larger Mangueirão, which is used for bigger events. The club’s connection to Belém and the surrounding region remains central to how it is viewed locally.
São Paulo FC

Founded on 25 January 1930, São Paulo Futebol Clube is a Brazilian professional football club based in the city of São Paulo. It was formed through the merger of Club Athletico Paulistano and Associação Atlética das Palmeiras. After being dissolved in 1935 due to financial difficulties, the club was re-established later the same year under a new organisational setup, allowing its development to continue.
The team competes in the Campeonato Brasileiro Série A and the Campeonato Paulista, and has remained part of the top tier of Brazilian football throughout its history. The club operates as a multi-sport association with a membership structure, managing professional football internally. This setup supports activity across different areas.
In addition to football, the club runs sections such as women’s football, basketball and futsal, along with a system for developing young players through its training centres. Based in the Morumbi district, it operates within one of South America’s largest urban and economic centres.
