Campeonato Brasileiro Série A

Brazil is closely associated with football, and Campeonato Brasileiro Série A sits at the top of the domestic game. Over the years, it has become a meeting point for different playing styles, drawing sustained interest from large audiences. The league currently features twenty teams competing in a double round-robin format, giving each side the same set of fixtures across the season.
The path to this structure began with regional championships, which dominated the game during the first half of the 20th century. The absence of a national framework eventually led to competitions such as Taça Brasil and Torneio Roberto Gomes Pedrosa—early attempts to bring together clubs from different states. These formats laid the groundwork for a unified league, formally established in 1971.
In the decades that followed, the championship went through several changes before settling into its current format in 2003. The season runs across 38 rounds, with every point contributing to the title race and qualification for international tournaments. This setup brings greater clarity to the schedule and allows clubs to plan over a longer horizon.
CR Vasco da Gama

Club de Regatas Vasco da Gama was founded in Rio de Janeiro in 1898 as a rowing club, set up by workers based in the city centre, including Brazilians, Portuguese-Brazilians and recently arrived Portuguese immigrants. The name was chosen to mark 400 years since Vasco da Gama’s sea route to India.
In 1915, Lusitânia Sport Club was incorporated into the organisation, marking the start of its football section within an already established structure. Alongside football, the club has continued to run activities in rowing, basketball, swimming, as well as women’s and beach football.
The organisation also includes a youth academy. Although based in Rio, its origins are linked to the Saúde district, while much of its support has been concentrated in the city’s northern areas and nearby towns.
Red Bull Bragantino

In the Brazilian city of Bragança Paulista, Red Bull Bragantino has developed through nearly a century of history marked by significant transformation. Its origins date back to 1928, when Clube Atlético Bragantino was founded following disagreements within a local amateur team. For decades, the club established itself as part of the local sporting culture, building a stable presence at regional level.
A decisive turning point came in 2019 with the establishment of a partnership with Red Bull GmbH. This led to a reorganisation that included a change of name and governance model. Since 2020, the club has operated as Red Bull Bragantino, becoming part of Red Bull’s international network and altering its position within the football landscape.
This transition is also reflected in its visual identity. Red was added to the traditional black-and-white colours, and the branding aligned with Red Bull’s corporate style. The symbolic representation shifted as well—from the historical lion to the distinctive bull—each marking different phases in the club’s development, while it continues to retain a connection to its local roots.
